Hello. I stumbled onto this site. I'm in Forks, Washington for the great fishing in my retirement. Graduating from " Mare Island institute of technology" in Data Systems school in Computer mainframe technology, My computer maintenence career was launched and peaked with Cray computer Inc. at NASA Ames, Mofitt Field, California. Then, I switched careers into semiconductor manufacturing, photolithography eqiupment maintence. I would like to contact some of my homeroom frinds and other friends high school friends that I lost. |

Urbana and my masters from Governors State University. I taught school right out of college but have been a Realtor since 1973. | I don't have enough words to express what a wonderful job that the reunion committee did. It certainly culminated in a wonderful weekend. We all seemed to recognize each other despite 50 years having gone by. Those years melted away the evening of the big event. I wish there had been a lot more time to visit with everyone and ask all of the questions I thought of later. Hope more of us can keep in touch now that we have reconnected. So .... the crazy election days are over and there is snow in the air here in the UP of Michigan. It is not a good day to bird hunt with the dog BUT a great day for remembering a fantastic 50th reunion AND also share photos of the big event. Thanks to the able assistance of photographer - and more computer savvy then I - wife Donna, I've just completed uploading reunion pics to the 'Other' of the reunion website 'Photo Albums'. Any errors are mine: ie. sideways photo, etc. and - to Bob Ingersoll: Sorry Bob. I know that Joy is a Joy (who we know she is) not Jan but once the fingers typed that mistake we couldn't figure how to edit it !) Hope folks enjoy the pics - as well as those previously posted - and that others will continue to add theirs as well. ONCE AGAIN: A big thanks to all who worked on/with the committees to make this reunion a reality. |

After going on the website this morning to see if there were any photos/comments from the reunion, I am SO sorry that I missed it last week-end! (I was in Oregon.) WOW! And photos there were! I wish that ALL the pictures had names to identify who they were! Fifty years is not a good time to start "guessing"! It looks like everyone had a great time! Just a note to say I am looking forward to our reunion and to thank all the people who are working on the planning committee. I saw the note from Keith on the 1961 committee and sent him updated information on my sister who is in that class. She and her family are also here in Houston. We are planning on making this a family trip for our kids and four grandkids, who have never seen the Chicago area, where their "Oma" grew up and went to school. We are so looking forward to seeing everyone and 186 may not sound like a big number attending, but it is huge when compared to my husband's small town Texas class of 29. As a member of the planning committee, I am so looking forward to attending our 50th reunion. We have put in a lot of time and effort in finding missing classmates. I too am disappointed in our attendance but grateful to those who wish to attend. We will have a great time. As far as the Jewish holiday, we have members on our committee who are Jewish and helped choose the dates for the reunion after reviewing holidays. We are sorry we are offending a few but apparently many are still attending. |

| I have been literally away from Niles Township for many years, living for 15 years in Sweden and now down in Mississippi. In general I have not had contact with people from 1960 class, but it will be fun for my wife and me to attend. Age has changed most of us, and hopefully wisdom has replaced missing and graying hair.
